Vingelen nasjonalparklandsby
The national park village of Vingelen is found in an open and sunny hillside ca. 720 meters above sea level. It’s known for its beautiful cultural landscape with old log houses and well-kept farms. We recommend a walk through the village!
Kvikne
A small village with a rich history and many traces of mining. Kvikne lies in a valley separating two large mountain areas with wild reindeer: Forollhogna to the east and Knutshø to the west. This is a great place for exploring the nature and go hunting or fishing.

Dalsbygda
From Dalsbygda you get a great view into the mountains in Forollhogna National Park. Lush valleys used for seasonal mountain farming and pastures dominate the landscape. The hamlet is historically linked to the mining town of Røros and many traces of mining can be found here.
Budal
With its village centre Enodden, Budal is one of several northern starting points for exploring the national park. Here, you can experience the beautiful valleys of Budalen and Endalen. Go for a hike on the Storbekklia Cultural Heritage Trail and learn more about hunter-gatherers, tar making and iron smelting.
